What's happening in the Garden this month.
We had our very first sales event last weekend and the weather was absolutely perfect for a garden show! We had a stand at the Landis Valley Farm Herb & Garden Faire and we had such a good time talking to all those fellow gardeners. The entire facility was filled with over 80-some vendors selling plants, shrubs, garden art and crafts. We sold lots of plants, a few yard art items and got to share our new business story with a lot of really great people. There was one other Daylily stand, so it was nice to talk to another vendor who could show us the ropes!

Breaking in the new trailer.
Our new trailer worked out really great to haul all our stand supplies, garden art and of course our main course.........the Daylilies!!
How to haul Daylilies without rolling them all over the back of the trailer! Nice job Ladies!!
Dee designed the equipment layout and Michelle did a great job building our "daylily pot separator/holder". Pays to have a "Framer" in the family! Check out the photos! We learned a lot about setting up and selling at an event like this and we are definitely planning to be back again next year.
This Saturday we were at the Ephrata Whistle Stop Open Air Farmers Market. I'm still a little insecure about backing up the new trailer, but I got lucky and was able to find a pull-through spot in the middle of the empty parking lot.
Wow, It's a jungle out there!
We had our first bloom of the season this week. Bitsy showed her beautiful, bright yellow face. Last year we had a race between Bitsy and Wild Horses to see which one was going to bloom first. Wild Horses won by a nose last year, but Bitsy pulled out the win this year.
